A Sharp Low to a Graceful High
Hey, everyone. I’ve been around on DeviantArt but in a capacity limited by my current work schedule (as a somewhat functioning adult lol). Anyway, last week as far as happenings go was quite turbulent: our family has experienced both a tragedy and a miracle, and so we’re feeling a mix of emotions even today.

Tonight, we went to the vet to put our 17-year-old Oreo to sleep. She had been suffering from severe osteoarthritis in her hips, and while that’s not necessarily a death sentence, she had not been taking the medicine to ease the symptoms, so it was only a matter of time before it was time to act. The last couple of days, her gait was quite unsteady and I thought she might have hurt herself somehow – she even flew down a flight of stairs she was trying to walk down.
